Libreoffice template 6 envelope4/30/2024 ![]() At this point it is easier to just do it myself If you think I'm doing something wrong, or should try something I'm game to try it. Rotate the envelope 180% from the image on the HP printer itself. If I select VR, and do the following two things:Ģ. Of the 6 images for Envelope Orientation on the Insert Envelope dialog, VC looks correct, but that is the only one I get an HP Printer error. If you are facing the printer, the back flap is on left. The HP OfficeJet6700 shows the envelope going into the feeder the long way with the flap up. VC - HP printer gave the error, "The paper size detected by the printer sensor does not match the paper size selected". And (2), the envelope needs to be turned 180 degrees from the image on the HP printer to make sure the back flap is at the top (I drew it in as a dotted line, so you could see it from the front). VR - There are two problems, (1) the text is getting cutoff on the left. (I have a whole bunch of paper sheets that I tested this with.)Īs I said, I know there is a way. And switching it back to printing a #10 envelope in landscape mode, and with the envelope against the left side of the printer, is impossible! I also saved the file from last year, but LebreOffice defaults to it’s current 8.50x11.00 inch Portrait Letter settings. I did figure out a way to print out #10 envelopes last year. But every once in a while I have to send an actual letter. Like most people, I send emails most of the time. The Envelope printing routine in LibreOffice is no help. But it always prints out with a Portrait orientation. I set the size of the printout, and it's orientation as Landscape. I asked about this a year ago, and never got an answer. The Portrait and Landscape settings almost never work. Unlucky for me is that when I do, I can never remember how I did it the last time. Luck for me, I don’t print envelopes very often. This seems like Mission Impossible on Mint! I simple set the document to single sided printing temporarily, and the envelope printed beautifully.Printing # 10 envelopes, with LibreOffice, or any other office software. But if you have the printer properties set to double sided, it got confused and told me it was a size error. One other thing, I put the envelope in the manual feed of my printer of course. Then manually dragged the boxes to where I wanted, top right and centered respectively. Then changed the rotation angle to 270 degrees. Then select the boxes, one by one of course, right-clicked, and selected Position and Size. ![]() I then selected Insert / Text Box a couple times, and entered the return address and send address. ![]() That works! The page is correctly defined. ![]() Simply open a usual document, go to Format / Page, and from there change the Format to # 10 envelope. That Insert / Envelope menu item should probably be removed from Writer.īut I found a simple and effective workaround. I found that even trying to define a user defined size of # 10 size and manually entering the right width and height would cause it to automatically (!) change it from user defined to the built in # 10 incorrect size right before my eyes, with a height of about 16 cm! So user defined did not work.
